The Effectiveness of Pictionary Games as a Tool to Teach Vocabulary for Senior High School Students

This study investigates the effectiveness of Pictionary games as a tool to teach senior high school students vocabulary. In order accomplish this purpose, was conducted in 10th grade Banten Province, Indonesia. The data used quantitative research methodology by implementing quasi-experimental design. population class Indonesia, and took 72 sample divided into two classes. Cluster random sampling select class, result cluster obtained with 10 MIA 2 experimental IIS control class. pre-test post-test were selected instrument know games. researchers Normality Homogeneity tests analyze study's data. After collecting students’ pretest post-test, measured results determine effects on vocabulary mastery between groups. average group is higher than (8.392 > 5.054). It can be concluded that effectively recommends teachers significantly apply when teaching English increase student’s mastery.
